Description
This collection comprises an assortment of furniture stands and stools in various materials and styles, including industrial, primitive, and mission designs. Included is an industrial utility stand consisting of a rectangular galvanized metal bin with a front label holder and two side drop handles, resting on a four-legged dark metal frame with ball casters and a square lower stretcher. A tall traditional wooden pedestal stand features a circular top with a raised molded rim and a recessed center, supported by a decoratively turned column on a tripod base. The lot features two black-painted wooden stools: one large primitive-style three-legged stool with a thick, irregularly shaped top, and a smaller four-legged footstool with a square top and turned legs. Also included is a round plant stand with a dark woven wicker top and bentwood rim supported by three thin metal legs with scrolled feet. A tall Arts and Crafts style oak pedestal features a square top inset between four square legs that extend above the tabletop with chamfered tops and a single lower stretcher shelf. No marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The industrial metal frame exhibits significant surface oxidation and rust throughout, while the galvanized bin shows typical surface mottling and minor wear (photo 1). The tall wooden pedestal displays minor scuffs and scratches to the finish, particularly on the base and rim (photo 1). Both black-painted stools show significant paint loss, chipping, and heavy surface wear on the seats and legs, exposing the natural wood beneath (photo 1). The woven stand shows minor dust in the weave and light wear to the metal finish (photo 1). The oak pedestal has minor finish wear and scattered light scratches but appears structurally sound (photo 1).
