Description
This lot consists of a set of five small porcelain bowls and one clear glass serving tray. The bowls are crafted from white porcelain and decorated with hand-painted overglaze polychrome enamels. Each bowl features varied background colors, including orange, pale yellow-green, and peach, decorated with floral and avian motifs. The exterior designs are further embellished with raised white moriage dotting. The interior of each bowl contains a central circular medallion in underglaze blue depicting a landscape scene, and the rims are finished with a gilt line. The underside of each bowl bears a red stamped mark reading MADE IN JAPAN. The clear glass tray is molded in an elongated leaf form with a repeating curved rib pattern.
Tray: 14 inches length, 5 inches width
Bowls: 3 inches diameter, 1.25 inches height.
Condition report:
The set is in excellent vintage condition. There is minor, expected rubbing to the gilt rims of the bowls. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible on the porcelain or the glass tray.
