Description
A vintage hollow-bodied paper-mâché duck decoy manufactured by the Animal Trap Company of Lititz, Pennsylvania. This decoy depicts a Redhead drake with molded feather detailing across the back and wings. The head is finished in a reddish-brown paint with inset yellow eyes and a gray bill. The body features a gray-painted exterior transitioning to a white underside and a black-painted tail. A metal screw eye for line attachment is present at the front of the base. The underside is molded with text identifying the manufacturer: VICTOR and ANIMAL TRAP CO. LITITZ, PA. U.S.A. A yellow paper tag from Susquehanna Trading Company is adhered to the base with the handwritten description Paper-mâché Red Head Drake.

Condition report:
Good vintage condition showing significant wear consistent with age and field use. There is notable paint loss and rubbing on the breast and tail sections. A small crack is visible at the tail seam. The surface displays general abrasions, minor staining, and paint wear throughout the body.
