Description
A mixed-media cloth doll designed by Silvia Hendershott, depicting Santa Claus seated in a rustic chair. The figure features a molded and hand-painted face with stationary eyes and white, curly mohair beard and hair. The integrated clothing consists of a red, green, and gold paisley-patterned suit with white wool trim and black cloth boots. Santa is holding a brown plush teddy bear and is accompanied by two miniature wrapped gifts with faux greenery accents. The accompanying chair is constructed of unpeeled bent wood branches. A paper hangtag identifies the artist and her status as a juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.
