Description
A vintage dark brown cap designed for motoring or aviation, manufactured in Denmark. The exterior is composed of multiple stitched panels and includes a short, stiffened brim with concentric decorative stitching. It features extended ear flaps that form a wide, padded chin strap, which is adjustable via a metal buckle and four grommets. A secondary horizontal adjustment strap with a metal buckle is situated at the back of the head. The interior is lined with a heavy, mottled wool or felt material in a blend of green, blue, and yellow fibers. A small woven label sewn into the interior is marked Made in Denmark.
Condition report:
The cap shows significant age and use. The exterior surface is heavily creased and wrinkled, with noticeable scuffing and finish loss along the edges of the brim, flaps, and straps. The metal hardware shows signs of oxidation and surface wear. The interior wool lining exhibits moderate pilling and general wear throughout. No major tears or missing components are evident.
