Description
This 1974 Turks and Caicos Islands 20 Crowns commemorative coin was struck at the Royal Canadian Mint to mark the centenary of Sir Winston Churchill. It is a Specimen Uncirculated Edition. The obverse features a portrait of Winston Churchill with the inscriptions WINSTON CHURCHILL, 1974, and CENTENARY. The reverse displays the coat of arms of the Turks and Caicos Islands with the text TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS and the denomination 20 CROWNS. The coin is presented in its original blue card folder which features a map of the islands and surrounding region on the reverse.Composition: .925 SilverWeight: 1.1527 oz ASW.
Condition report:
The coin is in uncirculated specimen condition with a satin finish. A localized area of dark toning and spotting is present on the obverse rim at the 9 o\'clock position. The original blue card presentation folder shows significant creasing, edge wear, and a small white sticker with a handwritten date on the front.
