Description
A Sid Dickens Memory Block, model T-294, titled Dragon from the Orient Express Collection. This decorative wall plaque is constructed of cast plaster with a high-relief stylized dragon motif. The dragon is depicted in a dynamic pose with outstretched wings and a coiled tail. The surface features a multi-layered, distressed finish in shades of dark brown and charcoal grey over a light cream base, creating an aged or metallic appearance. The sides of the block are finished in a neutral cream color, and the reverse is painted black with a circular indentation for mounting. One side of the block is impressed with the text SID DICKENS and VANCOUVER, CANADA. The reverse side features a silver-toned printed hallmark consisting of a crown above an oval containing the initials SD, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Below this mark is the text SID DICKENS MEMORY BLOCK VANCOUVER, CANADA WWW.SIDDICKENS.COM. A black adhesive label on the back reads T-294 ~ DRAGON Valiant protector of good fortune, Keeper of the eternal flame of imagination.6 inches x 8 inches x 1.25 inches.
