Description
A collection of antique glass pharmaceutical measuring graduates, including one specimen marked for the H.K. Mulford Co. of Philadelphia. Each graduate is constructed of clear glass in a conical form featuring a molded pouring spout and a weighted disk-style pedestal base. The vessels feature etched measurement scales utilizing traditional apothecary symbols for fluid ounces (℥) and fluid drachms (ʒ). The largest graduate bears a circular etched maker mark near the rim reading H. K. MULFORD CO. PHILADELPHIA. Condition report:
Fair antique condition. All graduates exhibit significant internal cloudiness and surface wear, often referred to as sick glass, which is common in antique chemical-ware. No major chips or structural cracks are visible. Minor flea bites and surface nicks are present on the feet and rims consistent with age and professional use.
