Description
This lot comprises three vintage designer waist belts from the 1980s. The first is a Charles Jourdan color-blocked leather belt, constructed with a wider diamond-shaped central section in ochre yellow, tapering to a black end and a teal blue end. It features a small gold-tone rectangular buckle. The interior is finished in white leather and stamped Charles Jourdan Made in Italy with size 70. The second is a Western-style belt by Leatherock, featuring distressed dark brown leather accented with two rows of silver-tone metal studs. It is fitted with a large circular filigree metal buckle set with light blue and white stone or shell insets, utilizing a hook-and-stud closure. The strap is marked XS10 Leatherock 5505, and the metal components bear the LR USA logo. The third is a wide decorative cinch belt featuring elaborate passementerie work with scrolled cords in chocolate brown, metallic gold, and grey. The design incorporates two hammered metallic teardrop-shaped inserts and is secured by black fabric tie-ends.Approximate waist size: 70 cm.
Condition report:
The Charles Jourdan belt shows visible surface wear, scuffing, and darkening to the yellow leather section. The Leatherock belt leather is intentionally distressed with additional age-related wear and cracking; metal components show oxidation and patina. The passementerie belt is in generally good vintage condition with minor wear to the interior lining.
