Description
A rectangular wooden jewelry box produced for Jay Import Co. Inc. and manufactured in Taiwan. The lid features a decorative marquetry panel composed of book-matched geometric inlaid wood veneers. The body of the box is constructed with contoured, molded sides and joined with a brass-tone piano hinge. The interior is fully lined in an orange velvet-textured fabric. The underside of the lid is fitted with an elasticized gathered pocket and three attached drawstring pouches with cord closures. The interior contains a removable wooden tray divided into sixteen small square compartments and five ring rolls. Additional larger storage sections are located beneath the removable tray. The underside of the base bears a gold-tone foil label with the manufacturer logo and text reading Quality Products, Designed for Jay, Jay Import Co. Inc., MADE IN TAIWAN.

Condition report:
Overall good condition consistent with age and use. Minor surface scratches and light scuffing are present on the exterior wood, primarily along the base and corners. The interior lining is intact with light signs of previous use. The hardware is functional with minor surface oxidation to the brass-tone hinge.
