Description
A pair of small, handcrafted wooden cabinets in primitive Americana style produced by Replitiques of York County, Pennsylvania. The first is a vertical cabinet with a three-drawer configuration, finished in a distressed brown paint. The drawer interiors contain integrated wooden dividers. The second is a wider two-drawer cabinet with a scrolled backsplash featuring a central circular mounting hole. This piece is finished in a vibrant, distressed red paint. The reverse of the red cabinet is hand-signed in ink Ron Brougher – 2001 and bears a yellow paper label identifying the form as a reproduction of a mid-1800s Lancaster County, Pennsylvania seed drawer. Below the label is a stamped maker mark reading REPLITIQUES BY RON BROUGHER YORK CO. PA U.S.A. Both units exhibit intentional surface distressing to simulate an aged patina.
Vertical cabinet: 6.75 inches high x 4.25 inches wide
Horizontal cabinet: 7.5 inches high x 8.5 inches wide.
Condition report:
Both items appear in very good original condition. Both pieces feature intentional distressing to the paint and wood to achieve a primitive aesthetic. Minor secondary surface wear and dust consistent with display use. Structural integrity is sound and all drawers are functional.
