Description
A collection of hand-carved and painted wooden folk art figurines with a patriotic Americana theme by artist Charlene Cooper. The assortment includes various stylized characters such as a tall slender figure holding an American flag, a jointed limberjack figure mounted on a star-shaped base, a wide figure depicted in a full split, a bearded patriotic wizard figure holding a yellow star, and a columnar bust set on a square blue block base. Each piece is decorated in a traditional red, white, and blue color palette with star accents and features an intentionally distressed, primitive finish. The underside of the split figure is handwritten with the inscription HANDCARVED, # 95/1997, and the signature Charlene Cooper.
