Description
A pair of hand-carved wooden walking sticks or canes featuring painted folk art caricature handles. The taller cane is topped with a carved bust of a man with blonde hair, an elongated face, and an open mouth. The shorter cane features a carved figure wearing a white chef hat with a grimacing expression. Both items are constructed with turned wooden shafts and are fitted with white rubber tips at the base. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on either piece.
Taller cane: 40 inches
Shorter cane: 34 inches.
Condition report:
Both items are in good vintage condition. There is minor surface wear and small areas of paint loss on the carved handles. The wooden shafts show light scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use. The rubber tips are intact but exhibit typical wear.
