Description
A vintage Sears Craftsman brand compound miter saw designed for benchtop woodworking. The unit features a pivoting arm to facilitate compound miter cuts and a rotating base with an integrated degree scale for angled crosscuts. The construction consists of a cast metal base and arm assembly with a black plastic motor housing and handle. The upper blade guard displays a printed label with the text Sears / Craftsman, 10-inch Compound Miter Saw, and Sierra de 10 para cortar ingletes compuestos. The label also indicates a 3HP rating. The tool is equipped with a steel circular saw blade and an integrated metal fence. A black power cord is attached to the motor housing.
Condition report:
The saw is in used, as-found condition with significant sawdust and wood debris accumulation throughout the frame and motor vents. Surface oxidation and rust are present on the saw blade and various unpainted metal components. The lower retractable blade guard is not observed in the standard safety position. Mechanical and electrical functionality, including motor operation and safety features, have not been tested. Sold as-is.
