Lot 6:
Description
A two-piece lounging set comprising a Mandarin-style jacket and matching trousers, crafted from black satin, likely silk or high-quality rayon. The jacket features a stand-up collar accented with white crochet lace trim and three white cord frog closures at the chest. The front panels are decorated with two large, mirrored dragon motifs executed in gold, red, and green embroidery. The garment includes an elasticated gathered waist for a fitted silhouette and two front patch pockets finished with white piping. The long sleeves are similarly finished with white piping at the cuffs. The matching wide-leg trousers feature a piped waistband and leg hems. This style of ensemble was common as souvenir apparel for Western travelers to East Asia or as imported luxury loungewear during the mid-20th century. No manufacturer labels or size tags are visible.
Condition report:
The set is in good vintage condition. The fabric exhibits prominent wrinkling from storage. There are some loose threads visible at the hems and seams of both pieces. The embroidery and white trim remain intact and vibrant.
