Description
This Sid Dickens Memory Block, titled White Horse and designated as T-104, is a decorative wall tile manufactured in Vancouver, Canada. The piece features a hand-poured plaster or composite front surface on a rectangular base. The imagery depicts a white horse head in profile wearing a decorative bridle with a prominent hanging tassel, set against a dark background. The work utilizes a muted color palette and soft blending typical of the artist’s style. The reverse of the block is finished in black paint with a circular recessed mounting hole. It bears a black adhesive label with white text that reads T-104 White Horse, The white horse, shining spirit of majesty, Faithful steed, Linked by fable’s golden bridle, to all humankind. Condition report:
The tile exhibits prominent surface craquelure and minor edge chipping, which are consistent with the artist\'s intended distressed aesthetic. The adhesive label on the verso shows minor wear and lifting at the edges.
