Description
This collection of five vintage fashion belly chain belts and six metal chain belts feature a variety of 1980s styles in metallic, resin, and braided materials. A primary piece is an Anne Klein gold-tone flexible snake-style chain belt featuring a sculpted lion head buckle with a hidden hook-and-eye closure. The reverse of the buckle contains a rectangular plaque stamped ANNE KLEIN. The metallic and chain-link belts in the group include an ornate gold-tone belt with wide rectangular filigree panels and a large central drop element with hanging medallions; an equestrian-style belt with gold-tone articulated interlocking horsebit links; a mixed-metal belt featuring alternating square and circular links with concentric spiral designs in copper, brass, and silver tones; a gold-tone geometric belt with large open rectangular links and a hook and extender chain; a copper-tone belt with articulated links shaped like textured husks or shells; a gold-tone chain belt with suspended hammered-finish disc charms; and two slender snake-chain belts, one in gold-tone and one in silver-tone, both with extender chains. The resin and cord styles include an oversized chunky link belt in marbled translucent and black resin with a gold-tone T-bar toggle closure, and a dark brown braided cord belt with gold-tone hardware ends and a toggle-bar closure.Length: Approximately 70 cm (27.5 inches) generally, with some featuring adjustable extender chains.
Condition report:
Good vintage condition. Individual pieces show minor surface wear, light scuffing, and some tarnish to metallic finishes consistent with age and use.
