Description
This lot features two vintage ladies fashion belts from the 1980s. The first is a branded Escada belt constructed of black lizard-embossed genuine leather. It is adorned with a large, curved silver-toned metal ornament featuring three diagonal inset bands of gold-toned chain-link mesh. The interior of the strap is stamped with the maker marks ESCADA, Made in Western Germany, size 34, and reference number 325/601, along with a genuine leather symbol. The second item is an unmarked statement waist belt crafted from gold-toned metal. The front is designed with a double-leaf motif flanking a central triangular plaque. This plaque contains an inset floral design in shades of pink, purple, and green, likely shell or enamel. The adjustable metal band is set with small multi-colored cabochon stones along the sides and utilizes a hook-and-eye closure system.Size: 70 cm.
Condition report:
The Escada belt is in good vintage condition showing light surface wear to the leather and minor scuffing to the metal hardware. The metal leaf belt exhibits significant patina, tarnish, and surface wear consistent with age.
