Description
A collection of four ladies fashion belts dating to approximately the 1980s, primarily sized for a smaller waist. One belt is a St. Maarten of Dallas design, crafted from beige leather with distinctive brass-tone zipper-tooth trim along both edges. It features a gold-tone buckle and double-cylinder keepers, with the interior marked by a gold-tone metal plaque reading ST. MAARTEN Dallas. The second item is a bright yellow leather belt heavily embellished with multi-colored cabochons in shades of red, blue, green, and amber, interspersed with various metallic studs and star-shaped accents in gold and silver tones, finished with a simple silver-tone buckle. Also included is a woven belt featuring a checkered diamond-weave pattern in red and dark brown leather with a large, circular resin-covered buckle. The final piece is a tan leather belt featuring a hand-painted tropical scenic motif with palm tree silhouettes against an orange sunset gradient and a black-finished metal buckle.General size 70 cm.
Condition report:
The collection shows varying degrees of age-appropriate wear. The St. Maarten belt is in good vintage condition with minor tarnishing to the hardware. The yellow embellished belt exhibits wear to the leather and surface scratches on decorative elements. The woven red and black belt appears in good condition. The painted sunset belt shows significant wear, with visible cracking and peeling to the decorative finish near the buckle and adjustment holes.
