Description
This US one-dollar denomination coin is a Morgan silver dollar struck in 1886 at the Philadelphia Mint. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features the Liberty head design with the date 1886 and thirteen stars. The reverse displays the heraldic eagle within a wreath, with no mint mark present in the space below the wreath and above the denomination. The edge is reeded.Diameter: 38.1 mmWeight: 26.73 grams.
Condition report:
The coin displays original luster with a light silver-white appearance. Wear is visible on the high points of the design. Surface contact marks are present, including a prominent diagonal scratch across the cheek of the obverse portrait and several small nicks in the fields. The reverse shows dark spots of oxidation or residue on the eagle\'s body. Extremely fine condition.
