Description
A collection of porcelain cow-form creamers featuring various decorative styles and manufacturer marks. The group includes standing cow creamers decorated in a hand-painted Delft Blue style, featuring windmill landscapes and floral sprays. These pieces include small brass-toned bells suspended from blue cord collars and are marked on the underside with a blue backstamp showing a figure with a shoulder yoke above the words Handpainted Delft Blue E.D.A.I.C. Also included is a BIA Cordon Bleu standing cow creamer with a tail-form handle, decorated with a hand-painted floral sprig and a single blue flower on the forehead. The base of this piece bears a circular mark stating HAND DECORATED IN U.S.A. BIA CORDON BLEU PORCELAINE DE CHINE. Another creamer is of recumbent form, decorated with blue floral and foliate patterns in the Delft style including a central medallion on the flank; this piece has no visible maker marks. All items are constructed of mold-made porcelain with underglaze or overglaze hand-painted details.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good condition overall. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs are noted. Glaze remains intact and vibrant across the collection. Minor surface wear and shelf wear to the underside of the feet are present.
