Description
This is a Jim Shore Heartwood Creek collection figurine titled And Noah Did All That The Lord Commanded Him, model number 118730. The piece is a stylized decorative folk-art representation of Noahs Ark. It is constructed from cast stone resin that has been textured and painted to simulate the appearance of hand-carved wood. The hull of the ark is decorated with quilt-patterned motifs and wave designs. On the deck sits a central house-like structure with a red roof, topped by a dove holding an olive branch. The figurine includes figures of Noah and his wife, along with various pairs of animals such as a rooster, sheep, geese, a pig, a cow, and cats. The ark is elevated on four metal supports above a base depicting water, with four fish mounted on individual rods below the hull. The underside of the base is marked with the Heartwood Creek and Jim Shore logos, the title of the piece, the 2004 copyright date, and license information for Enesco Group, Inc. A manufacturer barcode sticker is also present.
