Description
A Heywood-Wakefield Riviera bedroom suite featuring the manufacturers signature Champagne blonde finish on solid hardwood. This mid-century modern set includes a full-size headboard, footboard, a pair of wooden side rails, an adjustable metal bed frame, and a matching nightstand. The design is characteristic of the Streamline Moderne aesthetic, featuring rounded corners and horizontal proportions. The headboard has a simple rectangular form with rounded top corners, while the footboard is detailed with a recessed center panel flanked by raised, stepped end sections. The matching nightstand consists of an open cubby over a single drawer with an integrated wide wooden pull. A black ink stamp reading CHAMPAGNE is located on the reverse of the headboard.
Condition report:
The suite is in fair to good vintage condition. Surface wear is evident throughout, including scuffs, scratches, and areas of finish loss, most notably on the nightstand top and the lower edges of the footboard. The wooden side rails exhibit age-appropriate wear and minor splintering near the metal hardware. The metal bed frame is disassembled and shows standard surface wear.
