Description
Original MCM Heywood Wakefield, this mid-century modern dresser is constructed from birch with a light blonde finish. The chest features three full-width drawers with a distinctive stepped or tiered front and integrated, carved horizontal wooden pull handles. The top surface displays the characteristic rounded waterfall front edge. The unit is supported by shaped bracket feet. Included is a matching frameless rectangular mirror with rounded top corners that mounts to the back of the chest. Typical construction for this period and maker includes machine-cut dovetail drawer joints.

Condition report:
The chest is in fair to good vintage condition. There is significant and widespread water spotting and finish discoloration across the drawer fronts. The top surface shows scuffing, minor scratches, and finish wear consistent with age and use. The mirror glass is intact but has a modern vinyl sticker in the upper left corner. Minor foxing to the silvering is visible.
