Description
A pair of 1972-P US Eisenhower dollar coins featuring aftermarket gold-colored plating. These specimens were originally struck at the Philadelphia mint in copper-nickel clad composition. Each coin is mounted in a black square cardboard holder with gold-foil stamped inscriptions reading SUN BANK and DOLLAR. The coins feature the standard Eisenhower obverse and the Apollo 11 mission reverse. These items represent promotional or collectible sets typically issued by financial institutions in the 1970s.
Condition report:
Both coins exhibit an uncirculated appearance with bright aftermarket gold-colored plating. Minor contact marks and surface hairlines are visible on both the obverse and reverse fields of both specimens. The cardboard holders show minor corner softening and light shelf wear.
