Description
A pair of US Eisenhower Dollars dated 1972. These specimens are copper-nickel clad coins that have received an aftermarket gold-tone plating. Both are housed in black cardstock promotional mounts from Sun Bank, which feature gold-toned printed text reading SUN BANK and DOLLAR. The coins feature the Eisenhower obverse and the Apollo 11 mission commemorative reverse. No mint marks are present, signifying production at the Philadelphia Mint. These pieces were issued as promotional collectibles by Sun Bank.
Condition report:
Uncirculated. Both coins display bright, reflective surfaces from the gold-tone plating. Visual inspection reveals light contact marks and fine surface scratches across the fields and portraits. No third-party grading or certification is present.
