Description

An assortment of international coinage and one commercial token, primarily dating from the mid-20th to early 21st century. The assembly features currency from several nations including Canada, represented by $2 and $1 bi-metallic issues, quarters, and cents; the UK, featuring various denominations with portraits of Queen Elizabeth II; the US, including quarters and nickels; a Spanish 500 Pesetas bi-metallic issue dated 1989; a Eurozone 2 Euro coin; a Mexican 1 Peso dated 1978; and a Russian 1 Ruble. A Japanese 50 Yen coin with a central hole is present, alongside a brass-colored token inscribed NO CASH VALUE. The pieces are struck in various base metals and alloys such as copper, bronze, cupronickel, and bi-metallic compositions. Visible inscriptions include ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS, ELIZABETH II D G REG F D, and Russian Cyrillic text. Edge treatments include both reeded and plain varieties.

The coins are in circulated condition with wear ranging from light to moderate across the group. Natural toning is visible on multiple pieces. Specific condition issues include significant green oxidation on the Spanish 500 Peseta coin and a large dark corrosion spot on the 1981 British copper penny. All items are raw and professionally ungraded.
