Description
This Hepplewhite style demilune console table, attributed to Hekman Furniture, is constructed with mahogany solids and veneers. The semi-circular top features book-matched flame mahogany veneers arranged in a radiating sunburst pattern, framed by a wide cross-banded border of contrasting light-colored wood. The curved apron is similarly veneered in figured mahogany and detailed with light wood stringing and a central oval patera inlay featuring a fan motif. The piece is supported by three square, tapered legs, each detailed with inlaid light wood stringing on the outer faces and a dark wood band near the feet.
Condition report:
The table is in excellent condition. The finish remains bright and clear, highlighting the figure of the mahogany veneers. No significant scratches, finish loss, or structural repairs are visible.
