Description
This lot comprises three original holiday release toy vehicle sets produced for the Amerada Hess Corporation and Hess Corporation of Woodbridge, New Jersey. The collection includes the 1994 Hess Rescue Truck, the 2001 Hess Helicopter with Motorcycle and Cruiser, and the 2010 Hess Truck and Jet. The 1994 Rescue Truck is a white emergency vehicle featuring green accents and a red, multi-stage extendable ladder. The vehicle bears a license plate graphic reading HE55 1994. The 2001 Helicopter set features a large green and white helicopter accompanied by a smaller white cruiser van and a white motorcycle. Packaging for this set indicates features including real lights and sound, operating rotors, and a searchlight. The 2010 Truck and Jet set consists of a white and green semi-trailer truck carrying a green and white jet airplane, with the truck license plate reading HESS 2010. All vehicles are constructed from molded plastic with integrated electronic components for light and sound functions. Markings on the original packaging confirm these items were manufactured in China.

The items are housed in their original illustrated cardboard boxes. The packaging shows signs of shelf wear and edge rubbing consistent with age. Specifically, the 1994 Rescue Truck box exhibits a small tear and creasing on the upper right corner of the end flap. The internal toys have not been removed for testing or close inspection; therefore, the condition of battery compartments and the functionality of electronic lights and sounds are unknown.
