Description
This Chippendale style tilt top table is part of the Historic Charleston collection manufactured by Baker Furniture. The table is crafted from mahogany and features a circular top with a scalloped pie-crust molded edge. The top is mounted to a functional tilt mechanism with a birdcage support structure, allowing the top to be pivoted to a vertical position for storage. The top is supported by a central turned pedestal with a bulbous section featuring carved acanthus leaves and reeded details. The pedestal rests on a tripod base consisting of three cabriole legs. Each leg is decorated with acanthus leaf carvings at the knee and terminates in a carved ball-and-claw foot.

Condition report:
The table is in very good condition overall. The mahogany finish retains a high luster with minor surface scratches and light wear consistent with domestic use. The carved elements on the pedestal and legs are crisp and well-defined. Minor scuffs and small nicks are present on the feet. The tilt-top mechanism is in good working order.
