Description

A professional natural history specimen of a Jewel Beetle, identified by the included label as Chrysochroa toulgoeti. The specimen, originating from Malaysia, exhibits a vibrant iridescent metallic green and blue body. The elytra are spread in a flying position, featuring two broad, horizontal cream-yellow bands and revealing the translucent brown hind wings. The beetle is displayed in a double-glass floating mount that provides a full view of both the dorsal and ventral sides. The specimen is housed in a rectangular wooden shadow box frame with a light oak finish. A paper label at the bottom front reads Chrysochroa toulgoeti-Malaysia in cursive text. The frame is equipped with a brass sawtooth hanger on the top rear.
