A pair of hardcover volumes documenting waterfowl art and American decoy carving. The first volume is Duck Stamps and Prints: The Complete Federal and State Editions, Revised Edition, published by Beaux Arts Editions, New York, 1988. This large-format quarto features pictorial boards and provides a comprehensive record of duck stamp art through the late 1970s. The interior contains numerous color and monochrome plates depicting stamps and associated prints by artists including Maynard Reece, Larry Hayden, Sonny Bashore, and Jack Schroeder. The second volume is R. Madison Mitchell: His Life and Decoys by Charles Lee Robbins, published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd., West Chester, PA, 1987. This octavo monograph explores the work of the Havre de Grace decoy carver, featuring photographic plates of specific decoys and construction details, including bill carving and painting techniques.

Both volumes are in good overall condition with light signs of shelf wear. Duck Stamps and Prints shows minor rubbing to the corners and edges of the pictorial boards; the interior pages are clean and the binding is secure. R. Madison Mitchell is accompanied by its original white dust jacket, which shows light edge wear and minor surface scuffing. The interior of the Mitchell volume is clean with no visible markings.
