Lot 168:
Description
This lot features two contemporary decorative glass pieces. The first item is a tall, narrow rectangular glass vase with a botanical and ephemera design. The front panel displays a yellow-breasted bird perched near a nest with three light blue eggs, set amongst red blossoms and green leaves. The side panel features a vertical column of vintage-style postage stamps from France and Italy, with motifs including butterflies, the Eiffel Tower, and numismatic symbols. The base of the front panel is marked with the printed text L E S E D I T I O N S A R T I S T I Q U E S Paris et ses Merveilles, and the vertical edge is marked C A R T E P O S T A L E. The second item is a square kiln-fired fused glass plate of slightly slumped form. The clear glass base is decorated with an abstract composition of diagonal transparent bands in green and amber-yellow. It features a raised, opaque cherry-red circular element fused to the upper right corner and a yellow rectangular bar with red frit inclusions. The corners are accented with fine yellow and green glass frit. The plate is accompanied by a small four-legged wooden display stand.

Plate: 8 inches H x 8 inches W.
Condition report:
Both items are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or surface scratches. The printed motifs on the vase are crisp and free from peeling or fading. The fused glass plate shows minor surface irregularities inherent to the artisanal kiln-firing process.
