Description
An assortment of decorative items including porcelain, glass, and folk art. The lot features a Norman Rockwell Batter Up bisque porcelain figurine, produced by Gorham in 1974 and based on the August 5, 1916 Saturday Evening Post cover. The piece bears the maker’s mark and a blue Gorham Japan foil label. Included is a limited edition hand-painted porcelain cat figurine titled Albert, numbered 57/950 and marked Burgues USA. The collection also contains a Lenox Flowers of Love Vase in ivory china with a pink rose transfer and gold rim, marked on the base. Further items include two oval ceramic divided grill plates with floral transfers and blue scrollwork borders, a tall glass Galileo thermometer with six colored floating spheres, a miniature ceramic vase with a hand-painted desert mountain scene signed Refeye 147 on the base, a brown-glazed ceramic turtle vessel with a cork stopper, a small novelty green glass pipe, a carved wooden or gourd maraca with geometric patterns, an oval frame with a green and gold border containing a dried floral arrangement, and a white ceramic mug with a transfer scene depicting a grandfather and child.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible on the porcelain figurines, the Lenox vase, or the divided plates. The glass Galileo thermometer is intact. The turtle vessel includes its cork stopper. Surfaces show typical minor shelf wear and dust consistent with age and display.
