Description

A framed antique magazine advertisement for Fairy Soap, dating to February 1903. The black and white advertisement features a central illustration of a winged child holding an oval bar of soap. The text at the top reads FAIRY SOAP accompanied by two 5 cent price points. Side margins include the slogans Fits every hand and Fit for any hand. Below the illustration, the headline A Complexion Reflection is followed by text describing the cleansing qualities and purity of the soap. The bottom of the advertisement identifies the manufacturer as The N. K. Fairbank Company and lists offices in Chicago, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Montreal, San Francisco, and New Orleans. The advertisement page is set within a beige mat and a black wooden frame behind glass. A handwritten notation of Feb. 1903 is present on the paper just below the printed border.
