Description
A glazed porcelain figurine produced by Lladro, identified as model number 1030, titled Don Quixote Standing with Books. The figure is rendered in a characteristically elongated style, standing upright and looking slightly upward. He features a goatee and a wide-brimmed hat, leaning against a stack of books. At his feet are depicted pieces of plate armor, including a gauntlet and a helmet. The underside of the base displays a blue underglaze factory mark with a stylized tulip icon above the word LLADRO and the text HAND MADE IN SPAIN. The base also features incised characters including K – 6, 8, and e.
Height: 11.5 inches.
Condition report:
The blade of the sword held in the right hand is missing, leaving only the hilt attached to the hand. No other chips, cracks, or professional repairs are observed.
