Description
An Indian large-scale circular shallow bowl constructed from turned wood with a natural exterior finish showing prominent wood grain. The interior is decorated using a decoupage technique under a high-gloss finish, featuring a complex collage of traditional blue and white porcelain vessels. The motifs depicted include tigers, floral sprays, landscapes, and geometric borders. The rim is finished with an alternating blue and white checkered border. The base of the bowl bears two original adhesive labels. The first is a circular blue label featuring an illustration of a blue and white ginger jar with the script signature Annie Modica. The second is a rectangular information label which reads: This Annie Modica piece has been created with much care and thought. Using the decoupage technique, Annie has designed this hand painted collection to be both decorative and functional. ‘I hope you enjoy these beautiful products as much as I enjoyed creating them for you.’ Annie Modica. The label further identifies the piece as DESIGNED IN SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA, Exclusively for Tuesday Morning, and Made in India.

Condition report:
The bowl is in very good condition with no visible faults. The decoupage interior is smooth and intact with no signs of lifting, peeling, or bubbling (photo 2). The wooden exterior shows natural variations in grain and color consistent with the material (photo 3). There are no visible cracks, chips, or significant surface abrasions.
