Description
An assortment of approximately 60 decorative real eggs presented in a shallow, oval galvanized metal tray. The collection includes several large eggs featuring decoupage-style printed pastoral and floral scenes, some with attached satin hanging ribbons. A variety of mid-sized eggs are finished with distressed gold and copper-toned metallic gilding, creating a mottled antique appearance. Numerous smaller eggs have a light grey base with dark grey speckling to resemble wild bird eggs. The collection appears to be composed of mixed materials including ceramic and composite. The tray is constructed from galvanized sheet metal with a matte, weathered zinc-style finish, featuring a rolled rim and two upright wire handles. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the eggs or the tray.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in very good decorative condition (Photo 1). The metallic finishes show intentional distressing as part of the design. The tray exhibits a rustic, weathered finish consistent with its style. No chips, cracks, or significant damage are visible to the decorative elements.
