Description
This mahogany server is topped with a heavy, removable rectangular slab of variegated marble featuring a palette of reddish-brown, gray, cream, and white veining. The wooden carcass contains a two-door cabinet opening to a single interior compartment. The doors and the surrounding frame are decorated with fine, double-banded string inlay in a contrasting light wood, arranged in a dashed pattern. The piece is supported by four square tapered legs, each terminating in a small metal caster. Hardware consists of two cast metal drop-ring pulls with circular decorative backplates. No maker labels, signatures, or stamps are visible on the wooden frame or the marble top.The marble top has an area of repaired crack.

Condition report:
The server is in good, stable condition with visible signs of age and use. The wooden carcass exhibits moderate surface wear, including scuffing and finish loss most prominent on the lower sections of the tapered legs (photo 1). The marble top shows scattered light surface scratches throughout (photo 6) but is free of major cracks or repairs. The decorative string inlay appears to be intact (photo 2).
