Description
This collection consists of an assortment of porcelain and stoneware service pieces. A three-tier cake stand features graduated porcelain plates with chrome-finished metal hardware and a ring-top handle. The plates are decorated with blue and white transfer prints of birds, butterflies, and flowers, accompanied by botanical text including the fragments VOL. II, DESCRIPTIONS, MENTAL, and AGED. A white porcelain lidded casserole features a straight handle and polychrome transfers of various birds, finished with a gold-tone rim. The lot includes a stack of plain white porcelain dinner plates with a smooth finish and a stack of white porcelain side plates featuring embossed lattice-pattern borders. One square serving bowl in white porcelain is decorated with an embossed scrolling vine pattern on the exterior. Small service pieces include three white ceramic ramekins with vertical ribbing, two dark blue glazed stoneware ramekins, and one matching dark blue glazed stoneware lidded dish with twin handles. An embossed mark is present on the lid of the blue dish but is not legible. No other maker marks or country-of-origin marks are visible.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the overview photographs. The glaze surfaces remain bright, and the transfer-printed and embossed decorations appear intact across all pieces.
