Description
A late 20th-century storage chest featuring a natural woven wicker and rattan exterior. The piece is designed with a three-sided raised gallery top and a single front door that tilts outward on internal pivot hinges. The door features a recessed finger-pull cutout at the top center for access. The interior contains three fixed-height shelves constructed of stained wood and wood-composite materials. The exterior is finished with braided wicker trim along the edges and gallery. The unit rests on a flat base. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
Condition report:
The wicker exterior shows light surface wear and minor fraying, particularly along the bottom edge as seen in photo 1. There is dust accumulation throughout the woven surfaces. The interior wooden compartments show significant dust, dirt, and debris from use, along with minor scuffing and finish wear on the shelves as shown in photo 2. The tilt-out mechanism appears functional.
