Description
This lot consists of two pieces of wrought iron patio furniture finished in black paint. The first item is a rectangular bench or narrow side table featuring a flat sheet metal top and legs joined by a decorative stretcher with a central geometric diamond motif. The legs terminate in stylized scrolled feet. The second item is a large square-format table frame. The frame is constructed with square-profile legs ending in circular disc feet. The structure is stabilized by an X-form stretcher that meets at a central ring. The upper frame is designed to hold a drop-in top, such as glass or stone. No maker marks, signatures, or labels were observed on either piece.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit significant signs of age and outdoor exposure as seen in the provided photograph. There is widespread surface oxidation and rust throughout the iron frames of both pieces. The black painted finish shows heavy weathering with significant flaking and large areas of paint loss. The bench top displays heavy corrosion and pitting, particularly along the perimeter. The table frame is missing its inset top.
