Description
A group of three ceramic items featuring varying blue transfer-printed designs on a white ground. The set consists of a rectangular tray, a baluster-form pitcher, and a square lidded canister. The rectangular tray is designed with clipped corners and a slightly scalloped rim, featuring a central Chinoiserie landscape scene with a prominent mountain, pagodas, and traditional dwellings, bordered by a geometric diaper lattice and floral sprigs. The pitcher features a flared spout and a solid cobalt blue C-scroll handle, decorated with a dense, all-over floral pattern of large blooms and foliage. The square canister, which includes a matching square lid, is decorated with a repeating floral and foliate scroll motif. No maker marks, backstamps, signatures, or country-of-origin labels are visible on the exterior surfaces of these pieces.
Rectangular tray: 8.25 inches long by 5.5 inches wide
Pitcher: 5.75 inches tall
Square canister: 4.5 inches tall by 3 inches square.
