Description
This set includes two rectangular lidded storage baskets in graduated sizes. The smaller top basket is constructed of natural woven wicker, possibly willow or rattan, featuring a traditional weave and a braided fiber handle on the front face. It has a hinged lid that opens upward. The larger bottom basket is a storage chest made of a woven fiber cord in a dark olive-brown finish over a rigid frame, consistent with Lloyd Loom style construction. This larger piece is equipped with metal hinges and an internal fabric stay strap to support the lid when open. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on either piece.

Larger Bottom Basket: Approximately 12 1/2 inches (H) x 19 inches (W) x 13 inches (D)
Smaller Top Basket: Approximately 7 3/4 inches (H) x 16 inches (W) x 10 inches (D).
Condition report:
Both items are in good vintage condition. The smaller wicker basket shows minor fraying and small breaks to the natural strands, including a small gap in the lid weave (photo 4). The larger fiber basket exhibits some dust and lint accumulation within the grid-patterned weave. There is minor finish wear and scuffing along the bottom edges and corners (photo 2). The metal hinges show light surface oxidation (photo 5). The internal stay strap is intact (photo 6).
