Description
A collection of five ceramic planters and flower pots in various traditional Chinese styles. The largest piece is an oval, boat-shaped planter with a flared rim and four low feet, decorated with underglaze blue lotus blossoms and pads, accompanied by a matching fitted drip tray. A square-form planter features a flared scalloped rim, two blue-glazed loop handles, and four corner feet, with underglaze blue decoration depicting fish and floral motifs; it is paired with a round blue and white saucer. An octagonal planter with a scalloped rim is decorated with blue underglaze floral sprays and includes a matching octagonal saucer. A small, tapered handleless pot features underglaze blue decoration of bamboo and floral branches. The final piece is a small round planter with a waisted, tiered body finished in a solid cream-colored glaze with a matching saucer. No maker’s marks, reign marks, or labels are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces shown in the images.
Large oval planter: 8 inches in height
Square handled planter: 5 inches in height
Octagonal planter: 4.5 inches in height
Small tapered planter: 4 inches in height
Cream glazed planter: 4 inches in height.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs observed in the photographs. All pieces appear to be complete with their matching or appropriate saucers and drip trays as shown in photo 1.
