Lot 192:
Description
This lot features three contemporary decorative ceramic vessels crafted in a Mediterranean or modern farmhouse style. Each piece is constructed of earthenware or stoneware and finished with an opaque, cream-colored crackle glaze. The glaze exhibits uniform, intentional crazing throughout to provide an aged, weathered aesthetic.
The collection includes a large ovoid jar featuring a wide scalloped rim, two large arched handles at the top, and two smaller scrolled ear handles on the mid-body. The second vessel is a tapered ovoid jar with a scalloped rim, two scrolled side handles, and two horizontal relief bands with a wavy pattern encircling the upper body. The third vessel is a pitcher-form vase with a flared rim and two handles featuring a prominent rope-twist design. No maker marks, signatures, or factory backstamps are visible on the exterior surfaces of these items.
Large Jar Height: 16 inches
Tapered Jar Height: 14 inches
Rope-Handled Pitcher Height: 11 inches.
Condition report:
The vessels are in good overall decorative condition. The extensive crazing seen across all three pieces is a characteristic of the intentional crackle glaze finish and does not represent structural damage. No chips, cracks, or professional repairs were observed during inspection. The weathered texture and slight variations in glaze color are part of the original design.
