Description
This hand-tufted area rug is part of the Nourison 2000 Collection, specifically model 2028 BLK. According to the manufacturer’s label, the rug is constructed from a blend of silk and wool, designed to replicate the appearance of a 200-line hand-knotted carpet. The design features a traditional Persian style with a central multi-lobed floral medallion in shades of red, cream, and green. This medallion is set against a high-contrast black field filled with an intricate all-over pattern of floral and foliate motifs. The main field is framed by a wide cream-colored border featuring a repeating floral scroll, which is further enclosed by narrow red and black guard borders. The reverse side is finished with a woven herringbone-patterned backing and retains the original manufacturer’s label, which includes the model number, barcode, care instructions, and RN number 58948. This rug was handmade in the People’s Republic of China.
