Description
This lot features a Dietz No. 2 D-Lite cold blast tubular hurricane lantern and a lidded utility pot. The lantern is constructed from galvanized steel and features a clear glass globe. The top chimney cap is embossed with Dietz N.Y. U.S.A. The glass globe is embossed with LOC-NOB and REGD IN U.S.A. The lantern includes a wire bail handle, fuel filler cap, and a wick adjustment knob. The accompanying lidded pot is made of heavily patinated steel or cast iron and features a matching lid with a strap handle and a wire bail handle attached to two side ears. No manufacturer marks are visible on the pot. A Fiskars cutting mat is used for scale.

Condition report:
The lantern frame exhibits extensive surface oxidation, rust, and pitting. The glass globe is free of cracks and chips but shows internal soot and surface grime. The lidded pot displays significant overall rust, dark oxidation, and interior scaling. All handles and the lantern fuel cap are present and functional.
