The upper right corner features vertical black ink calligraphy and two red seal marks. The artwork is mounted in a dark-stained wooden frame with a carved faux-bamboo texture. Two labels are attached to the reverse. The lower label states the original painting was part of the collection of Lord Astor of Hever, brought from China by the Earl of Elgin between 1857 and 1860, and was sold as Lot 457 in the 1983 Sotheby’s Hever Castle sale.
