Description
This US Morgan silver dollar was struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1900. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. It features the George T. Morgan Liberty head obverse and eagle reverse. Visible inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date 1900 on the obverse, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR on the reverse. The O mint mark is located on the reverse above the DO in DOLLAR. The coin has a reeded edge.Diameter: 38.1 mmWeight: 26.73 gramsFineness: .900 silver.
Condition report:
Very fine. The surfaces show moderate wear on the high points of the hair and the eagle breast feathers. Scattered contact marks are visible in the fields. A small yellowish-brown stain is present on the obverse cheek. Original luster remains in the protected areas around the devices.
